Hike the Sea Hawk Trail at Holts Landing State Park

The Sea Hawk Trail is a beautiful little trail at Holts Landing State Park in Dagsboro, Delaware. The park itself is small but has a surprising variety of landscapes with salt marshes, forests, and access to the Indian River Bay. Holts Landing is a bit of a hidden gem in southern Delaware.

The Sea Hawk Trail is an easy 1.4-mile loop that takes you through the marshes and forests of the park. You can start in the main parking area, and then begin the trail by walking over a new boardwalk section that will take you over the marsh and into the forest.

You’ll also see beautiful views of the freshwater borrow pits throughout the forested sections. If you go during golden hour, you may see some really pretty reflections in the calm water of the borrow pits.

There is plenty of parking with restrooms on-site, and entrance fees are charged from March 1-November 30.
