I had the opportunity to work with The North Face for an adventure hiking photoshoot!
For this campaign, I worked with influencer Ambreen Tariq of Brown People Camping. Ambreen is awesome, and she’s all about diversifying public lands and the outdoors. My assignment was to photograph Ambreen hiking in different locations to promote The North Face’s new Vectiv trail runners (shoes meant for running on trails).
We had to photograph three different “stories”. Each story reflected a different way that Ambreen loves to be in the outdoors. Ambreen then used the images to develop a message behind the stories we captured to communicate why she loves the trail and to inspire others to pull on their first trail shoes and follow in her steps.
Here are a few highlights from each story!
For this story, we took a hike through the forest at Rock Creek Park with Ambreen’s dog. Our goal was to show a casual spring hike through the woods and beside a stream. Here is Ambreen’s resulting Instagram post.
For this story, we did a more strenuous portion of the Appalachian Trail. This section of the Appalachian Trail lead to an overlook called Raven Rocks.
Great Falls Park is a beautiful park on the Potomac River. For this story, we did a short hike with some rock scrambling.
